Junior PR + Marketing Assistant (Remote)

We are looking for a freelancer or junior marketing and PR professional to work directly with the Founder of a boutique agency. Our clients span across the health and lifestyle categories. This candidate should be reliable and task-oriented. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks. You’ll gain an insider’s view of the essential role that PR and marketing play in growing a business. We are looking for someone to eventually join us full time and have senior responsibilities. This role will be 90% remote with the exception of occasional events meetings and  photo/video shoots.

Role Responsibilities may include

  • Build and maintain targeted media lists

  • Draft Press Releases, social content and PR pitches

  • Assists in the design and development of layouts for marketing materials, using appealing graphics that are well organized.

  • Assist with creative design of websites

  • Provide support to social media efforts to target new audiences.

  • Utilize social media to engage with a community of fans/followers online.

  • Assist with online marketing and advertising campaigns.

  • Collaborate on team presentations for management and clients.

  • Administrative support that includes Coordinating executive communications, travel, transport and accommodation



  • High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)

  • Must have a deep understanding of diverse audiences

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Comfortable working in a virtual office environment

  • Trustworthy nature and discretion needed to handle confidential information

  • Eye for design

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Proven interest in Creative Marketing and Public Relations field

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software

  • Strong understanding of Google Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail and key social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook)

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive attitude

PLUSES (not required)


  • Video Editing skills, Production Experience

  • Ability to occasionally travel within the Greater New York area for events, shoots and meetings at our Manhattan or Staten Island offices
